WHAT AGES DO YOU TEACH?
The problem is most schools in our community won’t offer lessons to kids younger than 7 years old. KIDZ ROCK was developed specifically to address this void. Our specialty is working with young kids from 2 years of age, up to 14 years old. A large number of scientific studies have shown that the benefits of playing music, such as improving cognitive functions, developing short and long term memory, language development, improved motor skills and complex problem solving, are greatest when experienced before the age of 7. Our mission is to bring these benefits to the kids in our community.
WHAT ARE YOUR INSTRUCTOR'S QUALIFICATIONS?
We pride ourselves in hiring dedicated, experienced instructors who care deeply about your child and their progress. We conduct thorough background checks on every employee and everyone on staff completes mandatory safety training. All of our instructors are well versed in the KIDZ ROCK method of teaching, ensuring your child has a fun, safe, rewarding and inspiring musical experience.
WHAT STYLES OF MUSIC DO YOU OFFER?
Our experienced and dedicated instructors are versed in many styles of music including pop, electronic, hip-hop, rock, country, blues, jazz, latin, gospel, and more. We cater to the interest of your child in private lessons and focus on various styles of contemporary music in our group lessons. Our goal at KIDZ ROCK is to engage your child with fun, current and relevant music they enjoy.
WHAT IS TAUGHT IN PRIVATE LESSONS?
Prior to the first lesson, KIDZ ROCK will send you a questionnaire that will help us and the instructor learn about your child, including their experience level,interest in songs and styles, musical goals and more. This helps the instructor align his approach both with the personality of the child, and their musical aspirations. KIDZ ROCK makes it a priority to get to know you and your child on a personal level so we can set expectations and goals for the lessons accordingly. Obviously, there are basic fundamentals and techniques that are taught to all beginning students, but we like to approach these basics from a KIDZ ROCK perspective that is tailored to your unique child.
WHAT IS TAUGHT IN GROUP LESSONS?
Group Lessons cover both fundamentals and learning popular songs in an intimate setting. KIDZ ROCK ensures this by limiting classes to 6 students per Instructor. By taking the focus off the individual and creating a group dynamic, your child enjoys a fun, supportive and motivating environment in which to learn that allows for both social interaction and individual attention. Your child will be socially engaged in the learning process and will look forward to jamming with his peers every week.
HOW LONG ARE PRIVATE AND GROUP LESSONS?
We offer 30 minute private lessons and 50 minute group lessons. Studies have shown that 30 minutes is an ideal length of time for engaging young kids. Within a group dynamic, 50 minutes offers a great balance between group participation and individual attention. KIDZ ROCK ensures this balance by limiting our group lessons to 6 students per instructor.
CAN I TAKE A FREE GROUP LESSON?
Absolutely, we encourage you to take a free group lesson. This gives you/your child the opportunity to meet our staff, other students, and experience our atmosphere. After the free group lesson, we can discuss goals for your child and which monthly lesson plan best suits your needs, as well as finding a schedule that works with your routine. Sign up here.
ARE THE LESSONS AT THE SAME TIME EACH WEEK?
Both your private lessons and or group lessons will be at the same time each week. We will set a day and time that works well with your schedule when you enroll your child with KIDZ ROCK.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL A LESSON?
If you can’t make your scheduled lesson, simply give us 24 hours notice so we can notify your instructor in advance. This allows us to provide you a make up lesson on a different day based on the instructor’s availability or add a makeup lesson to the end of your plan. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hour notice are not eligible to receive a makeup as our instructors are highly qualified and have committed their time to you and your child.
WHAT IF MY CHILD OR SIBLING HAS BEEN SICK?
The health and well being of the kids, families and staff that attend Kidz Rock are our #1 priority. If your child or anyone in your family has been sick within 5 days of their scheduled lesson, we ask that you cancel your session by giving us 24 hours notice so we can notify your instructor in advance. This allows us to provide you a make up lesson on a different day based on the instructor’s availability or add a makeup lesson to the end of your plan.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES FOR PRIVATE/GROUP LESSONS?

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Our monthly lesson plans are set up to accept pre-authorized Credit Cards or Debit Cards on monthly AutoPay only. This saves you from writing checks or bringing cash to every session, and it allows our operations to run more efficiently. AutoPay keeps our operation cost down and allows us to pass on the savings to you.
DO I HAVE TO BE IN A LONG TERM AGREEMENT?
We don’t require a long term agreement because we want to be assured you and your child are enjoying the learning experience. Our program shines when all kids are engaged, enthused and excited to be both in the group lessons and private lessons. If you decided to stop your monthly lesson plan, we can deactivate your autopay by receiving notification 15 days before the first of the month in which you wish to discontinue your auto pay. Your deactivation of AutoPay will be on the 1st of your chosen month. The AutoPay program can’t be deactivated mid month, so if something prevents you from taking a full month of lessons, we will credit you with make up lessons when you re-enroll.
DO YOU OFFER LESSONS IN THE HOME?
Kidz Rock does not offer lesson in the home. We have built a great, well equipped and intimate facility for kids to connect and enjoy their lessons. Keeping our lessons under one roof saves our qualified instructors driving time, gas and helps keep our operation costs down.
DOES KIDZ ROCK PROVIDE INSTRUMENTS?
Our facility is equipped with high-quality electronic drum kits by Alesis in all our private and group lesson rooms for your child to use. Not only do we sell drumsticks and headphones we can help you purchase your own kit at a great Kidz Rock price.
